Blogging your way towards a career in Speech and Language Therapy

At the recent PPLS alumni event, attended by 10 very articulate graduates from the school of PPLS (see previous post), I was very interested to find out about a blog called ‘A little less conversation’, written by one of our LEL alumni, Devon.

Many of the alumni stressed the advantage of using social media such as LinkedIn and Twitter for career research, finding opportunities, and networking . Devon also talked about how she used her blog not only to reflect on anything to do with language development, speech pathology and communication disorders, but also to connect with professionals and charities already in the field and chat with others who share her passion for this area.

If you share this interest, join in the conversation via Devon’s blog.

And for more information and advice on how to get started as a speech and language thearpist, browse our careers information on getting into speech and language therapy, and read Devon’s information and advice on her career path to date – Devon, speech and language therapy .
