A Happy New Year to you all – I hope you’ve managed to have a bit of a rest and relaxation over the festive period (as well as working on the dissertation, essays – and, dare I add, ‘future plans’!) and are refreshed and ready for the new semester.
However, if it looks a bit of a long haul now towards spring and lighter nights – we’ve some internships on offer that may shine a bit of light in the current gloom.
Currently being advertised via MyCareerHub are 2 fantastic internships in Thailand for summer 2015. The closing date is 12 January 2015 – so look quickly!
You’d be working as a Teaching Assistant though the British Council Thailand English Teaching Programme 2015-2016, which aims to help improve the English language skills of children in Thai schools and develop cultural links between Thailand and the UK. The Internships Team at the Careers Service will offer you support and guidance throughout this process.
Further details including eligibility and how to apply are available on MyCareerHub now!
If you’re keen to secure an internship or other gainful activity over the summer, though not keen on the one on offer above, now’s a good time to be doing your research – there’s still plenty on offer via MyCareerHub – check them out now.
For yet more opportunities for gaining experience and personal development over the summer vacation, take a look at all our ideas on finding both advertised and unadvertised opportunities, and volunteering both at home and abroad – via the Careers Service website.
The Careers Service is open again for appointments so if you want a Careers Consultant to give you feedback on your applications, or discuss anything else to do with your plans for the future – whatever year or stage you’re at – then book via MyCareerHub, or drop in to see us – 3rd floor Library building.
And next week I’ll be back with Careers appointments in the School, so watch for the booking email…..
