The PPLS Careers Blog hopefully ‘does what it says on the tin’. It’s a blog written by careers adviser Janet Forsyth at the University of Edinburgh, to engage with and support students in the School of Philosophy, Psychology, and Language Studies on anything related to their future after graduation.

This starts from day one at university, raising awareness of the need to make the most of every aspect of university, yes, to get the best degree you can, but also to gain experience and skills which will help with the transition from study to the workplace.

Themes will include career choice, options relating to subject areas and beyond, gaining experience via semester and vacation opportunities, volunteering, internships etc, job hunting, further study, applications and interviews, and more. If there’s anything you’d like covered, leave a reply and let me know.
